Lake Somerset nightscape and timelapse

Well, nightscape and an astro-selfie

This is a 38 panel mosaic taken 25 June 2017 camping with the boys. Milky Way arching from Scorpius top left down to Carina middle bottom. Boo to the light pollution bottom left Some light from the camp grounds hitting the trees each end kind of looks cool, though.

Larger version on my Flickr

Here's a link to a bit of a timelapse I made on the night after the mosaic.

Feedback/critique appreciated - out of my comfort zone with both of these.

Yeah, certainly is noticeable. Astrofest just a little further north, but must be just far enough that the light dome is smaller.

Very nice Troy. The despised light-pollution adds something to the shot I think.

I actually drove down to Lake Somerset in daylight during last year's Astrofest looking for spots to take some night-scape shots but in the end didn't have the time (or energy) to get down there at night.
