10 years here in October, how long for you?

This year in October I have been a member here for 10 years. Well in between not being a member for infractions.

I was looking through a thread that I started (the show us what equipment you have) and saw the initial date at which I joined the site (aka Rumples Riot).

I cannot believe it has been 10 years already. Incredible how time flies.

One thing I do want to say is that the internet and forums such as this have lead to a wide dissemination of information in all facets of astronomy. My astronomy imaging knowledge now is largely the result of my use of the internet. Certainly a plus in my books and I am sure it has aided so many others.

7 years 7 months as a registered member, another two-ish as a lurker. It was the excitement surrounding Comet C/2006 P1 (McNaught) that prompted me to finally register.
I'm sure I had another account before this one but couldn't remember the login

I am coming up to 3 years and I have to

a) echo what Paul said. This is a great resource, learnt loads and there are many wise heads here who are willing to help
B) ask Paul to expand on his infractions..you can't drop that one into a thread and then say nufink
3) hit the donate button then buy in the christmas calendars.

9 years with long breaks at times due to health problems and other diversions in life. I can't believe how technology has changed in that time. And the scopes too.

5 years for me next February... It's funny really, Im on here daily, but I read a lot more than I post on here, so I feel I know most of you, but with only 300-odd posts myself in those 5 years, i guess few people reallise I'm here... Lol

Basically everything I've learnt in astronomy has come from all of you over those 5 years, so thanks to all for sharing what you know.

Davin

I was over on CN before here and then I was involved in another forum that eventually ended. There are a few still out there though.

Jan 20 2009. - a mere five and a half years.
