Looking through the barrel at this image, the key thing is you have unlocked some nice processing doors and opened up some cool feature combinations there

Hi Louie,
the RC12 is amazing for the price.
Did you have trouble collimating it &
what corrector are you using?
As for mirror flipping - that's astro imaging heresy -
akin to witchcraft.

cheers

Yes me like

Oh,to answer your question Al....RC's are dead easy to collimate with a good laser for focuser and a Tak collimating scope for secondary and main mirror.....oh,and no corrected used with the 8300 chip!

Hi Louie,
you've done well.
A Paramount MX+ mount with ONAG means you can choose
many more guide stars & guide very accurately.
The "finger of God" is well resolved.
There is some slight flaring of stars in the top left corner
but you wouldn't notice it unless you looked hard.
The stars are nice and tight without a corrector &
I suppose with a KAF8300 you're not enough off axis
that it would make much difference?
Your processing is perfect.
Keep them coming.
I look forward to your next picture.

cheers
Allan
