Lagoon Nebula (M8)

My third attempt at photographing and processing.

I revisited and realised i cut off heaps of data on the bottom of the picture but i stuck with this version as i just like how it turned out and fills the frame. I am still working out how to not cut off the black point too harsh. I kind of like how it pops up though when i make the background darker.

I would appreciate any comments or tips.

Telescope: Celestron 8" SCT, 0.63x Reducer
Mount: Celestron AVX
Camera: Canon 6d (unmodified)
Guide Camera: SGIB (guiding using PHD2)
Photos: 29x 1 min exposures @ 1600 ISO (10 darks and 10 bias, 10 flats)
Stacked: DeepSkyStacker
Processed: Photoshop (levels, curves, saturation, plus a few AstroTool actions)

For a 3rd attempt this is very good.

A sign of things to come!

Regarding processing. I use the 'better or worse' method & take notes of what works. And do the tutorials if you can get them.
