New generation CCD technology

Hi

have been reading on CCD technology and found some really good stuff (ie readable) at Hamamatsu. The later part of the article has links leading to some very interesting reads if you haven't come across it. Tutorials are also useful.

This article is maybe an explanation of part of the technology underlying the new generations of CCD sensors (eg Sony) that have almost no thermal noise at relatively high temps, no residual image problems, but relatively low well depth.
