EQ5 with dual axis motor drives

Hi all,

Selling my EQ5 mount with dual axis motor drives.

Mount is in very good condition. RA and Dec motors work just fine, and complete with handset and C cell battery holder. Mount uses 6V. Comes with a stainless steel tripod & one 3.5kg counterweight, a tripod stay tray (not pictured), and slow motion knobs.

I've been using this mount with my solar scopes at home. A lovely mount that just works.

Asking $300.

Prefer pick up from Maroubra (Sydney), but post possible at buyer's expense.

The rate of RA tracking can be regulated with these handsets. Inside the handset is a variable resistor which can be turned to fine tune the RA tracking rate. Accessing the variable resistor means opening the handset. But with a little ingenuity a hole can be drilled into the top plate of the handset and a little toggle attached to the resistor poking up through the handset so it can be manipulated with the handset closed. The pic below shows the location of the variable resistor inside the handset.

Thanks for looking,

Alex.
