3/8" female threaded bolt

i want to be able to put bolt thru piece ofd wood onto a tripod with male 3/8" thread, can u get va bolt with thumbscrew with a female thread?

Probably not, I would suggest you get a 3/8" threaded sleeve, screw that onto the tripod and then screw a 3/8" bolt into that

they look like this and are also called rebar- connectors

Get a 3/8" T-NUT from most fastener suppliers or possibly Bunnings >>> https://www.bunnings.com.au/leggz-3-...-pack_p3940069

It's best to glue them in to the timber with a little araldite even though the teeth bite in very well

thanks matt. roger & JA -i had thought about the T nuts, easy to get -the gluing is a good idea as I was worried about them coming loose in the wood if i over-tightened, thanks all
