Sun 131115 - Giant filament

Got some observing and imaging in before the storms arrived.
I've been following the progress of this giant filament which now stretches for almost a million kilometers. Taken with my trusty Lunt 35mm scope and ZWO camera.

Hi Richard,I would not put that filament at one million kilometers,it would need to stretch three quarters of the diameter of the Sun for that, as the Sun's diameter is 1.4 million kilometres. There was one that did stretch that length
early this year that made the world's press. This one appears to be broken, but the magnetic line may go the whole lengh. It certainly doesn't make the radius in length which is about 695,000 kilometers, but it is a very nice filament regardless.
