Sky Safari issue with "night mode" keyboard

I use Sky Safari on an Android tablet at my scope in 'night mode'.
When I search for an object, the keyboard flashes up very brightly before the 'night mode' kicks back in.
I'm sure I'm not alone with this issue, so how have others resolved it?
I've tried alternate keyboards but not with any success.
Is there a favorite keyboard that folk use with Sky Safari, that maintains 'night mode'?
Thanks for any advice.

Which SS version? I have never had that issue with SS 5Pro (and I am not updating it either)

I have the same issue on the iPad when using SS6 in Night Mode. But on the iPad there is a setting in Accessibility>Display Accomodations to turn on a red filter for the display which eliminates the issue. Do Android Tablets have a similar setting?

Chris, are you referring to an external "Keyboard" that your Tablet docks into, or the Virtual Keyboard on the Tablet's screen?

Michael.

SS 6 Pro. I'm trying different themes on my virtual SwiftKey keyboard, plus I'll use a piece of red plastic. The only setting I can find in SS 6 is the 'redden keyboard in night vision' option.
