EQMOD and PEC on low end Skywatcher mounts

Whilst I’m on the subject of PEC has anyone used EQMOD for PEC
I’ve heard there’s an Auto PEC function which some mounts can store and a another one where you can load a PEC curve and run Sidereal + PEC when imaging
Has anybody used PEC on EQASCOM and if so can you provide some info and procedures
I have an HEQ5 and EQ6-R mount
Appreciate any advice

I have an AZEQ6 and have tried to use the PEC in EQMOD. It always makes my mount go crazy once applied, I cannot figure it out. I gave up and purchased PemPro in the end. Works like a charm.

Thanks Bart
Done a lot of reading today on EQMOD PEC , PPEC and PHD2 PPEC
A lot of people do have mixed results running EQMOD PPEC depending what mount they have
I think I will just stick to PHD2 PPEC for the moment and see how it performs under different conditions
I’m confident my EQ6-R will guide better but the HEQ5 may be a different story
A Rowan belt mod is on the cards for the HEQ5 maybe next year

I tried both my mounts and EQMOD's PEC routines and eventually concluded that it was not worth the bother (Orion Atlas Pro AZEQ6 clone)

The PE at least in my case is a slow enough affair that the guider guides it out and it is well and truly dominated by seeing and any tiny whiffles of wind anyway, you had to look hard at logs to see the trends in corrections to indicate where it was correcting for PE and where for something else and it was still a bit of a guess.
