Ngc300

Howdy

Hope everyone is coping OK with the weather and virus, etc. It can take a bit to stay sane some days.

Here is my rendition of NGC300. I need to sort out the halos around my stars, just a bit slack and too far to drive every night to fiddle around.

Details with image, I hope you enjoy the view.

Cheers and clears!

Added annotated image for galaxy peepers, and there are plenty to see!

Very fine indeed. Nicely processed. Good colour and depth. And we love the PGC catalogue overlay. They are all there!

That’s a great NGC300 with busy collection of background galaxies. Good colour and depth displayed in the image

Howdy. Thanks for your comments, I really tried on this one!

The annotated image is an eye opener for sure.

Hi Bart,
an great picture on a very dim and difficult target.
The William Optics FLT132 seems to be an excellent telescope.
It looks like you've mastered PixInsight.

cheers

Thanks Allan, nice of you to drop by and comment.

I am happy enough with the FLT132, I like the aperture and the focal length, although it is a long and heavy beast. The AZEQ6 is probably a bit small for it due to the length however; most of the time I can keep guiding reasonably under control and an OAG certainly helps.

As for PixInsight, without Harry Page's tutorials, Warren Keller's IP4AP and Rogelio's Mastering PI I would be a right numpty at it!

Hi Bart,
you're doing very well indeed.
You're another astro photographer proving you don't need $30K or more
of equipment to produce excellent images.

Good to relay some PMs too.

cheers
Allan
