What I want to know is........... how do the "Vegan" taste-testers in the advert who "don't eat meat" know whether it tastes like real beef of not?

It's a fantastic development if the big manufacturers are moving away from meat. The planet cannot sustain the level of meat consumption we have now, let alone into the future. Things have to change and I'm really happy to see this happening.

I still cant work out why they have to make vegetarian food taste like meat.
Its like getting a piece of steak to taste like broccoli.
Whats wrong with a veggie burger tasting like a veggie burger or a falafel roll?
Anyway Ill eat both meat and veggie meals so it doesn't really mater to me but they should stop doing bad versions of meat copies.
Cheers
Andy

Yep... my oldest son was raised on real meat (all kinds including game).
He married a Vegetarian at which point he switched. Then, four years ago they became Vegan.

If your gravy has milk, then it's not Vegan.

Beat me to it.

Not wanting to spark debate or outcry pushing my own views I did watch a very informative documentary last night about the advantages and disadvantages of both meat and plant based diets across biological effects in people and planet wide effects in general. Titled “The Game Changers”.

I would highly recommend watching it.

There was an online news story today about a Class Action lawsuit filed in the USA on behalf of Vegans, claiming that Burger King has cross-contaminated the vegan burger by cooking it on the same grill as meat patties. Apparently, you can get them cooked separately if you ask but it is not widely known.

If he was a true vegan why would he be supporting a company that uses meat products by buying something there? Plus I would have thought the smell of meat cooking would make him ill.

Of course, if I was a cynic I would suggest that he saw a way of extorting some money from them. But that wouldn't happen, would it?

Hardly the way to convert people to veganism... By being complete twats. Couldn't just compromise and be happy with small steps...

and a counter to that video aboe which is promoted by a Vegan with an agenda promoting a website funded by vegan interests

https://sciencebasedmedicine.org/dea...e-by-veganism/
By all means those who are vegans go and live your vegan lifestyle but please stop the proselytising it will not "convert" people
Personally I eat less meat not because I'm adopting a vegan lifestyle or vegetarian lifestyle, but as I get older a balance or ALL nutrients is the way to go, not one way or the other, why can't we all just get along and not try to convert each other? this is no different to religious arguments.
