B33 Ha

Started a B33 narrowband project: 3.5 hours of 5 minute subs taken with a ZWO ASI1600MM-Pro and a 5nm Ha filter through my ED80. Have an old noisy DSLR shot of this but keen to explore the new tech (camera/filters) and get some more detail. Nice to shoot some of this with the moon about. Took some hazy 3nm OIII shots a week ago that showed next to nothing (just Alnitak) so need to cover that when the moon vanishes. 3nm SII on the way. Always welcome advice. Trying hard to get some of the cloudy detail in the bottom of the shot. More time needed I guess. Astrobin link: https://www.astrobin.com/full/377141...nc=Brasspoodle

Really beautiful Ben. The nebulosity is wonderfully delicate and detailed.

Thanks Geoff. Trying hard not to over process things (in PixInsight) and keep the noise in check.

Thanks for the thumbs up Marc and Col :-) It’s such a well imaged area of the sky that it’s a bit daunting to even to think to share a capture of it. Hoping to have a bit of fun with some unusual colour later.
