FLI ML8300 - Anyone other than Greg Bradley here using one?

Anyone using the FLI version with the KAF-8300? For the extra cash are they a good option?

Also - will I be able to connect my SBIG CLA-5 Nikkor lens adapter to it somehow? It has a standard t-thread which screws into the ST-series SBIGs.

I took delivery of one a couple of weeks ago Chris, but I'm waiting on a focuser extension tube before I can get first light. It won't quite come to focus on my Tak. In the meantime I've made a library of darks and bias frames. Cooling is amazing. You can comfortably get down to -30 C on most summer evenings. I'll let tell you more when it's all up and running.

Long delays now David owing to Kodak sensor shortages - probably looking at end of March or into April before any cameras come off the line and head this way. 2-3 months, not the originally-indicated 2-3 weeks. The manufacturer must not be telling its international dealer network what they need to know in order to keep customers informed and happy because our local dealer is just as surprised and annoyed as I. I'm not canceling the order at this stage.

I won't wait that long if I can help it. We'll see. FLI might not come though either... I've sold my current equipment to pay for this and a new scope, so I will go mad without a camera for that length of time. I need to keep busy or I'll lose interest.

The Atik 383L+ is due in to the country soon too, maybe even February, for around the same price as the ST. It's receiving good reviews in Europe.
