Over predicted again by the bureau. We were predicted to have 25-45mm in Adelaide with falls over 120mm in the hills. What a complete exaggeration. I have gauged 19mm total for three days and I live in the hills.

The bureau were quizzed about this yesterday and their excuse was a bit limp and shows that they still cannot really predict weather despite some very sophisticated tools.

I wonder how much rain fell in Victoria? Certainly not anything over 50mm according to the rain radar this morning.

The problem with this crying wolf is that eventually people will simply ignore the advice and that is what will lead to that one time when it actually does belt down and cause flash funding and death. In SA we have had several instances in recent years where this sort of thing was predicted and it did not eventuate.

Hasn't stopped raining in CBR since around 7pm last night. Nice red mud flowing down the slope outside my door lol. Not heavy rain, but constant.

The radar looks impressive enough here, but it's nearly all in the blue bands.

Very welcome 36mm here. Looks like the BOM mainly got the location wrong with the storms being farther east than predicted.

The dam is overflowing and the water tanks are about to do the same.

Eased right off to a light drizzle here, total of 93.1mm of rain.. Only low cloud now but still 8/8, bitterly cold wind out of the West...

61mm here with the addition of a big downpour overnight.

With the radar looking clear yesterday morning we went to Melbourne but got caught in heavy rain which appeared out of nowhere in the late afternoon - no fun driving on freeways with a few mm of water across the surface. I guess the moisture was just hanging in the air waiting to condense.

The garden looks vibrant after a dry month but Aussie Broadband might have had issues with water damage as the service has been in and out.

No rain out here this morning, but it's looking like it wants to any time soon.

The radishes and celery certainly appreciated it. Our pet Magpies, Mickies, Crows, Currawongs and Cockatoos all came calling yesterday - really funny what Mickies and Magpies look like drenched!

EDIT: 7pm and it has not even drizzled once. Lovely clear day, albeit cool from all the evap going on!

Only 29mm here in Langkoop, Victoria.
A bit under the 150mm predicted.
On Thursday night it looked like it was well on the way and then stopped for the rest of the weekend.
The North East got hit pretty hard but lucky not the 250-300.

Now thats over the clouds and moon can go away and give us back clear dark skies.

Has not stopped raining around Hobart for 24 hours. Roads flooded, some washed away and waterfalls everywhere. They reckon we have another 6 hours to go. I suspect the rain guage will top 100mm on my block but may be a while before I can get there again. Wowser !

We had 60mm up to 10am sat. Another 70mm sat/sun morning and only about 4 mm sun/mon morning. Tanks and dams all full now. Weren't to bad before. I calculated our shed would have collected about 25000lts over the weekend.

One of my partners facebook friends hand 291mm by sat morning and was still raining. Not sure were they live.
