Spider and Friends

First image off the 1600mm-c.
Just over an hour of R+Ha, G+L, B. processed in DSS and CS2. Lot to learn yet but happy with progress on the mono path.

(EDIT) Had another go at the image...

Looks like it has a lot of potential. I wouldn’t be adding the L to only the green channel though as that will throw the colour balance way off. I have no idea how to do it in Photoshop but you ultimately want to do a Ha+R,G,B and then add in both a Ha+L in LAB mode.

I know it can be done in photoshop but I’ve never used it so I’ve got no idea

OK, I'll go and have another play with it.. all new stuff to me.

Adding is done at the stacking, I will just stack G with no L as it did give strong green cast to start with. Ha+L sounds interesting, what's LAB mode ?

Back to the drawing board, thanks.

Redone, thanks for the advice. I'll add that to the 'Things not to do" list.

Brent, I wasn't criticising your picture, when I first looked at your post there was no image. My comment to try again was to link your image to your post. You had corrected the error as I was replying. Some may have mistaken me for being quite rude , our posts crossed paths. Sorry.

Hi Michael, no problem. No offense taken or rudeness detected at all.

It think it was when I was updating the pic actually. The first posting was a bit red and angry then Colin made the comment re my processing so I had a another go and reprocessed to something I was happier with.
Still got a lot to learn on this mono imaging path so got to listen to good advice.
