Canon 450D twin lens kit - opinion on twin lens kit

I'm looking to buy a 450D but I'm not sure if I should get the Body only, one lens or twin lens kit.
I have never had a Canon lens, so I'd really like to know a bit about their quality. Are they good value for money?
I'd also appreciate your opinion/experience/pictures with the two lenses (18-55mm IS & 55-250mm IS) that are part of the kit.

Many Thanks

Erwin

Erwin, your thoughts on purchasing a Canon Camera is in the right direction, they are truly fantastic for astronomy work.

In regard to the Lenses as a kit, well, IMHO, I would just buy the body only, the supplied lenses although ok for the happy snaps are not really that brilliant.

I would suggest, but of coarse this is your choice, buy the 450 body, and wait until you can afford one good prime focus Canon Lens of say 85mm 135mm, depending on what you intend to use the camera for.

This is just my view on it, so others may be able to give you more advice.

Leon
