Anyone care to set up a croud funding campainge please...the basis is this... I plan to move into an old mine shaft and we dig through to the other side and need cash for digging gear.

Remainds me of the clothes for animals campainge. ..a lady unsolicited offered to donate $40,000 to the cause...its scarey really.
The only question is do I look too normal to folk?

One should expect for the 4th post to ask something about telescope or bino setup instead lamenting about people who asks themselves questions before believeing in something - and put even Poll.

Through my jaded glasses I view these people as having a mental illness. But then again, I view the majority of the worlds population of suffering from this same delusional illness.

Thank you Dave
And most certainly.
In fact I think I will form a club.
The flat earth under world explorers club.

Well I have been waiting for deep sky stacker to do its thing with my images from tonight and to pass the time I watched a few utube vids about talking in tounges...it seems more common than you would hope and man really a worry.
Folk jabbering away shaking all over falling down going absolutely nuts and all in the name of religion. ..and they involve the kids...its shameful, child abuse.
I will really have to let it slide by somehow....it puts a new perspective on those people who go into a church and shoot every one ..they probably think they have mad cow madness and putting them out of their misery if thats the way they carry on...
Incredible but certainly worth a look.
Alex

Ok how about Jupiter then
Also, your scope and charts are abviously rigged, because Polaris is not a crescent or disk, nor does it move. And let's not forget precession, which should place Polaris somewhere over Tazzie just about now..There are less dumb ones among them, you see.

Poking them with a compass might startle them back to reality, so that's not a bad thing to use actually. In fact, I move that "poke them with compass" be made a voteable item in the OP's poll (failing that, how about stuffem)

I saw that back in November, Elon Musk tweeted: "Why is there no Flat Mars Society!?"
The Flat Earth Society responded to his tweet: "Hi Elon, thanks for the question. Unlike the Earth, Mars has been observed to be round."
https://www.cnet.com/news/flat-earth...s-round-silly/

You really can't hold a sensible discussion over facts with these people.

I dont see a problem.
Mars is round and there fore the Earth is flat.
Further proof the Moon is also round.
When you look at their flat world model it all makes sense....to them.
And the exciting thing is when someone absolutely believes they are right, which is ok if they are however agreeing with me.
They should stand up for me being right ...
But wouldnt it be funny if we found out the flat earth folk are riğht.
Man couls you build a great movie around that...
And the people on the top went to war with the people in the bottom.

Should write such a book it would be snaped up unfortunately by a far too wide slice of the public maybe.
Its like a planent of the apes approach only wackier

You could simplify it an injection of something.. Delivery would be edge of the seat stuff... And when that doesnt work they build a giant light sabre.
And there is maybe software out there that you feed in the basic and the book is written by the program.
