Hi everyone
NGC/2736 ~ Pencil Nebula
This nebula is just a small part of the Vela Supernova Remnant located in the constellation Vela at approximately 815 light years away from us 🤩
Just over 18 hours in total of integration time 😱 this was not an easy image to process, it pushed my processing skills to the limits 🧐 Taken over a period of five nights.
221 x 5 minutes images in Ha, O111 and S11
Camera: Skywatcher ED/120
Camera: ASI1600mm Pro
Processed in Astro Pixel Processor
Very fine. An iconic Pencil Nebula, with good colours.
I can see why Mike S thought that there was vignetting. Perhaps there's some dust up there, or general nebulosity in the middle. There's certainly identifiable dusty features at extreme bottom left.
Lovely. I imaged this one recently and I hope it turns out as well.
The slight vignetting would fix easily in Photoshop Lens Corrections, vignetting slider or Lightroom or any of the photographic softwares as they usually have vignetting slider.
I find flats are touchy, a slight mismatch with the temp and darks etc throws them off.
Thanks guys
It’s most likely just a lack of my processing skills
Ive only just dived into this narrowband imaging stuff within the last 6 months or so but I’m loving every minute of it

Ps: sadly I don’t have photoshop yet
