The humble Bunnings Sausage

It seems that our humble Bunnings sausages on Saturday morning has had a major change, no more onion on top

Here are the details ....https://www.news.com.au/finance/busi...5c5b8be51abbbe

BTW if you really have to have the onions on top, just turn the thing upside down.

Ah yes, the lucky country!

Aren't we thankful we have such greats at every level looking after our safety interests.

I'm going to write in and suggest that we should actually be forced to eat them lying down in the car park. I mean, what if people drop the whole hotdog? Hey presto, the slipping on onion thing didn't disappear after all.

So lying down on the concrete will be the go very soon.

They just didn't think this thru!

So what will Bunny's Whorehouse do if a recalcitrant onion slips out from UNDER the sausage? OMG, the world might end.

Bet they didn't think that far ahead.

Oh, and heaven forbid if a sausage falls on the ground - a FAR more dangerous slip hazard than an onion.

Fortunately sauce is not a problem as it promptly caught by your shirt front

We have become a litigious society...so get use to these cotton wool decisions. I note that Coles and Woolies have done anything about the lonely wayward grape in the fruit and veg aisle.

Far more dangerous is what they put inside the sausages, especially with regular consumption.

There’s a greater financial risk though - aggrieved customer suing for a replacement after mustard, sauce or sausage fat squirt all over ones Armani shirt and suit and possibly shoes.

Almost certainly a weekly event, and outweighing the safety risk.

Has anyone asked Tony Abbot what he thinks? He is an onion connoisseur.

Pollies - especially ex-pollies - always have an opinion on everything especially things they know nothing about and are the least qualified, IMHO.

Well I prefer my sausages between two T-bone steaks and the onions to be 100% fatty bacon.

Someone has been playing with their sausage too much.

Still the way to get attention is to be so stupid folk are compelled to discuss just how stupid you are...
Tiresome ....

My fear is the more they research, the greater the threshold of stupidity gets discovered. At some point in future, the scientists (either real, or self appointed) will encounter a singularity of ridiculousness that will suck them, and the rest of us, into oblivion.

Some things are best left undiscovered.

I heard an interview on ABC 612 Brisbane yesterday about this issue.

According to the person being interviewed 1. The person being interviewed suffered an onion induced slip. 2. There was a payout by Bunnings for injuries caused, which the interviewee was unable to discuss. 3. This incident prompted the change to the 19 page book of rules governing sausage sizzles.

Fact, fiction or simply absurd?

I think many journalists, and I use that word in a very general sense, ply their craft by selecting nonsense as their featured subject matter knowing they have a sure fire way to attract attention.
Perhaps the sadest part of this observation is that so often it is nonsense that holds the attention of their readers.

Absolutely. Anything to get eyes on the same page/screen as their patrons' material (the advertisers). I occasionally take a peek for the lulz. I'd be almost ashamed if anyone I knew took this stuff seriously.
