Looks like its NGC253 season

Here's another one folks ..

Captured on 8" F5 newt with ASI071. 4hours of 90sec subs over 4 nights
All processing in pixinsight - trialed it for a few weeks, and now bit the bullet and got it. Really like what it can do for calibration, stacking and processing.
Might have to go back some steps as I seem to have increased the background noise somewhere in the process.

That's looking pretty good, you have some nicely saturated colour there as well, getting that right is lucky dip for me.

I've reprocessed with my first go at deconvolution - that's a bit of a beast to control !

It seems to bring out more detail. Unfortunately for the forum I'll probably put up a reprocessed image with every chapter of InsidePixinsight I read

Great improvement Chris, that deconvolution did wonders, worth the effort I'd say. Amazing detail for an 8 inch, obviously you had good seeing and transparency over those nights that you imaged and your scope must be nicely collminated. Well done!
