Arrow DC power adapter for Astro 40D ????????

Hello all,
This is a question for owners of Central DS cooled DSLRs.

Got the 'your camera is ready' email yesterday from Yun Lee, so I should be back in action for astro-imaging in the next couple of weeks.

As I do all my imaging from my backyard, I need a DC adapter to power the cooling unit. Power requirements: 12V 3.6A - there are loads of 12V 5A adapters on ebay which Yun has advised would fit the bill in terms of power. This ad shows the connector dimension size...
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Power-Supply-...item3ca43ab20c

What I don't know is the dimensions/size of the connector that is plugged into the Exocooler unit (pictured). I've asked Yun via email, but no reply yet.

Do any Astro 450D/40D/50D owners use DC power supplies?
Any suggestions or idea of connector size needed?

Cheers
Doug

By the look of the photo it will be either a 2.1mm or 2.5mm DC plug, $1.95 from Jaycar plus 5min of soldering time to change it.

The only difference between the 2 plugs is the diameter of the centre pin.

Not as cheap as the EBAY one, but http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView...T&SUBCATID=381

It will set you back $32 once you buy the end plug.

you should receive a cable with your camera (i did ;-)

it has terminal alligator clips on the end or you can cut them off and attach a cigarette lead which is what i have done for all my cables now.

Thanks all.
I've found that recently the stuff on eBay with free postage from HK or China is taking ages to arrive (up to a month for some stuff) so I may just grab the Jaycar one and wait for the lead from Central DS which I'll mutilate to fit!
Cheers

Cheers Dave - this is looking to be less of a drama than I thought.

Speaking off drama...found this from a "cooled DSLR" google search.
I don't think I have the 'billiards' to perform such a radical mod on my camera (doesn't matter now anyway!!)
