Oberon @ night

A few months ago, I managed to jag an invite to photograph a private garden in Oberon. I planned it out nearly 6 weeks in advance using Photopills, timed for the brightest Milky Way Galactic Core, then just crossed my fingers and legs that the weather was going to play ball.
I got there about 2pm in the arvo to drive around and work out shot locations, and it was a little overcast.
As I set up for my first shot, a sunset timelapse, the clouds rolled in, and I was feeling a little dejected that the weather was taking a turn for the worst.

I had 10 different locations planned around the garden to shoot from, and had mapped out my nights activities to the 30 minute blocks.
I was elated when I drove down to my first location at 7pm and the clouds just evaporated, leaving me with a spectacular crisp clear night.
Dew did get to be a bit of an issue after about 8:30pm, but nothing that a few strategically placed hand warmers and dew heater didnt fix.

All these shots were panos of one flavour or another, taken on my Canon 6D with Samyang 14mm, f2.8, ISO3200/6400

You have to be happy with those! Well done.
What exposure times did you use?

Thanks hickny, I am very happy with the results :-)

Yes, I forgot to list exposures, the start of the night I was doing 20 seconds at ISO3200, but moved on up to 30 seconds at ISO6400 by the end as I tried to pull more details out of the foregrounds.

Great job on a couple of fronts, getting access to the place and having the weather gods on your side. The images have turned out great

Thanks Matt, yes Im chuffed on all fronts.
The weather was so touch and go and in the 4 hours or so that I was waiting for it to get dark, I thought about pulling the pin a couple of times, but kept telling myself "you never know what is going to happen and you're here now"
