ASI120MC, Debayering and FPS

I've had this cam for a long while now and although I've not been a great fan, I've just learnt something new. A few of you will go Duh! But anyway.

I was always concerned that I could only get ~10FPS at full res when recording avi files under Firecapture. I though it was because I used an old netbook (AMD dual core 1.6MHz; 4GB RAM) but I found that I could not get much better on my desktop (AMD8155 +12GB RAM).

As it turns out I had debayering enabled in firecapture because I thought it was necessary to record colour videos for stacking. I was fiddling with Autostakkert on some vids that did not have debayering enabled (black and white). I selected the force GRGB option and the colour came back in. I found that I could record at ~24FPS at full res. Still not the advertised maximum but much better.

1. Can you do this for Registax?
2. Is there a program that can debayer vids?
