Sharp VL-AX1U for astrophotography

This might be a little bit strange but is it possible to take pictures through a telescope with a video camera??
I have an ancient piece of tech: Sharp VL-AX1U 1.3 Megapixel

I was thinking about buying the camera adapter for it, but would it fit? Would it be worth it??

Yes, you can. Planets are a good start, the moon, some bright stars etc..
