Haribo Licorice products in Australia???????????

Why is it so hard to find decent licorice in Oz??
All the "Licorice shops" I contact don't stock Haribo licorice????
The NZ Black Knight is about the best you can find.

Much better than the soft
licorice flavoured (1%) Molasses available here in Australia.
(Would you call a meat pie a meat pie with <1% meat content!!!)

I Hear you

I grew up with Black Knight Liquorice and for me its always been unchanged in its texture and taste

The kiwi foods shop in Sydney has closed down, so no more black knight
we've been scanning the net for another local supplier to no avail

now I want to try Halibro (almost sounds kiwi as well bro!)

good luck

licorice

I used to buy mine in a Dutch shop in Sydney. Try this one on line

www.itsalldutchtome.com.au. They used to have a good selection.

Woolworths sells Dutch salted licorice in the international sections, as well as some others. Aldi used to also, but haven't been there for ages.

The Fyna 1 metre roll licorice is not too bad actually - quite tough as licorice should be (I detest "soft eating" licorice - for Nannas with no teeth )

The Fyna 1 Mtr has less than 1% licorice....
I just checked the "latest" D-L offering..... down to 0.5% licorice!!!

Dutch salted may appeal to some but definitely "not to my palate"
Anyone found Haribo licorice yet???

Lewis,
Hmmm
Now try to find some Haribo Wheels or Pontifract cakes at a reasonable postage!
(Just found a possible source in WA: https://www.ukfoodsdownunder.com.au/...act-cakes-bags
( the postage brought the price to more than $10 a packet !!!!)

Went to Aldi on a whim - they have HEAPS of Haribo products, just not licorice. They only had that gad-awful fruit flavoured "licorice" and chocolate coated soft gunk made by some forgettable company called Dominion. I did buy some biltong and a mega-jar of jalapenos

Big W had nothing decent.

Visit Junee and go to https://www.greengroveorganics.com.au/licorice-factory/

They also see a soft organic raspberry licorice which is delightful (nothing like the hard 'fake' red stuff.

You can buy raw or milk, dark or white chocolate coated.

Enjoy!

Lip numbing goodness

I do like aniseed rings and balls.

reminds me - anyone seen the good old red and white humbugs recently? I can't find them in Woolies, but can find "boutique" ones for lots of $$$ in IGA

Yeah,
I contacted the guys at Junee they don’t do a “real” high licorice content product.....they compete with the D-L 0.5% molasses flavored product.

https://thelicoriceshop.com.au/colle...inwheels-200gm

These seem to compare with the great Gerrit Broadway Wheels I found in US.
- they contain 5% licorice!!!
I've just ordered some to test.
