LMC wide field

Too windy to use the 10" so had a try at a bit of wide field. 38 X 30 sec exposures at iso 1600, canon 1100d and old school 135mm stopped down to f4, fixed lens (Ricoh with pentax pk adaptor ring). Unguided on heq5 pro mount. Shot between trees (pretty low this far north) and just above a street light.

Very nice capture.
Just came in after too many frustrations to mention.
I was about to do similar whilst waiting for DSS to do its thing but...

Nice framing. Makes me very keen to get the Samyang 135mm f/2 and really hammer the LMC for a few hours.

Nice one Rick; I've never been able to get any sign of red with my 1100D.
I'll have to try some longer subs with my tracker.

Thanks guys, gotta get an astro fix somehow, but it's all good fun.

Yes Raymo , the reds are just starting to show longer subs are the go, my past efforts have always looked just blue.
