Gabriela Mistral Nebula and NGC3293

Clear nights! In summer! Impossible!

Hi guys, long time me no post in deep sky. Long time no sky either. It's been so long I've forgotten how to astro. Anyway I needed a one night fix.

This is the Gabriela Mistral Nebula and NGC3293.
10" F4 Newtonian, full spectrum Canon 1100D with Baader Semi-Apo filter, 262 x 30 seconds unguided.

From wiki "NGC 3324 is an open cluster in the southern constellation Carina, located northwest of the Carina Nebula (NGC 3372) at a distance of 7,560 ly (2,317 pc) from Earth. It is closely associated with the emission nebula IC 2599, also known as Gum 31. The two are often confused as a single object, and together have been nicknamed the "Gabriela Mistral Nebula" due to its resemblance to the Chilean poet. NGC 3324 was first catalogued by James Dunlop in 1826."

Nice one Kevin, and yes it's been a long time since we have had any totally cloud free nights (yes there was the eclipse night). Try and make the most of it, the wet season might still come?
