Eclipse video on youtube

Hi All

I took a fair few shots of the eclipse and put it together as a video.

Not great shots mind you, but, if you're interested take a look at it.

About 3mins.

Great effort Phillip.

You must have had a few clouds wander over.
Makes it tricky!!

Try Registax to combine some images.

Hi

Thanks for the repsonses. Much appreciated.

No clouds went over, abrupt changes in brightness are due to me changing camera settings to try and get some of the very dim red without blowing out the bright highlights too much.

If you want to spend some time in post you can play with LR timelapse and Photoshop Lightroom to ramp up and down changes in luminosity. Works quite well and easy to use.

Hi

I don't have Lightroom. I use PowerDirector, it has some of these sorts of tools which I want to back and make use of.

Time is the problem, there are too many other things I want to try as well!

I wanted to try to do something similar but got clouded out. It was my first attempt at photographing an eclipse and I didn’t change exposure settings so by midnight my 1/200 exposure images are just black

Your sequence gives me some insight into what I did so terribly wrong!

Hi Atmos

I know what you mean, I had setup BYEOS to take a shot every 60sec,
1/100, F18, ISO100,

at the darkest, I think it went to something like
1/20, F5.6, ISO800

I had to keep stopping the loop adjusting, then restarting the loop.

And the temprature went down to about 12C, I was feeling a tad chilled by the end.

If you wold like more details, I can get them for you.
