What object to work on at IIS

I am thinking I will do either:

A long Ha series on a section of Banards Loop

Some portion of the Lambda Orionis nebula in Ha

Rossette (RGB)

Cone Nebula in Ha or (HaR)GB

Any suggestions for a 2.5 x 4.0 degree field?

I have done the Horsehead, M42, M45 already.

If not what is your target for the weekend?

Monte I will be happy to achieve something in focus and with sufficient exposure time to allow for a decent image, and polar aligned. I would like to redo M45 for myself and of course orion neb for the first time with the 127ED, then maybe the horsehead. i wont be greedy

The wine goes without saying. It is an integral part of the imaging process.

Hi Monte

I'll just be doing the ubiquitous Orion region this time around. I haven't had time to image anything at all yet with the new FS102, so M42, B33 and surrounds will do me I think.

You're right - wine is an essential part of imaging. It may affect eyesight, but I'm employing my camera to do that for me...

What about something out of the ordinary, like an Abell galaxy cluster? For example, Abell 548 on the boundary of Lepus and Columba? You could get about 30+ galaxies in that FOV.

Barnards Loop is the one that I would like to have a go at when I return from Vic/South and in Novembers new Moon period.

Need to try out my new 50mm F/1.2L lens, anyway having said the Monty, anything you shoot will be spectacular, so, put them in a hat and draw one.

Hi Rod - at 3.5" per pixel these galaxy clusters are usually a bit disappointing. I need to get a bigger scope I think. None the less I might give that one a 5 min shot just to see what pops in to view.

Can you give me an RA-DEC for that cluster please?
