Eta Carinae: reprocessed

My attempt at Eta Carinae from Sunday night.
ED80 with modded Canon 40D and EOS CLS Clip in filter on EQ6 unguided.
7x60 sec at 1600 iso
7x60 at 3200
7x90 at 1600
Equal darks
Stacked in DSS and finished with tweaking in PS.
Temp was around 26-29c on the senor, so a fair bit of noise, plus a bit of elongation from my lack of proper drift alignment.
Overall a reasonable result.
Will keep trying.
Comment welcome.
Thanks
Bo

Thanks, will keep trying once I get drift alignment done properly. Too cloudy in Melbourne right now, but will see what happens over Easter.
Also need to learn how to use PS properly in order to get the details out. The raw subs look ok and so does the stacked TIFF file but once it is imported into PS, I get a bit lost.

I spent a bit of time reprocessing eta last night, here is the final result.
A lot more dentils now and the colours are more pleasing to the eye.
What do you think?

I agree. I think it's a very good result, better than the first post.

That second one is a clear improvement in data processing Bo. Nice work.

Thanks Chris, Trevor and John,
I am on a steep learning curve with Photoshop, but slowly getting the hang of it.
I will post up my M42 soon.
