Interesting stars with pulsars like beams?

Hi,

I've recently started doing a detailed high res image of the milkyway via stiching frames from a 135mm f2 lens on a tracker.

Anyway, I've noticed there are around 10 stars that look like they have some beams/jets shooting out from the star. Does anyone know what this is?

Image attached

Thanks

Is this a common artefact among lenses? I saw the same thing in an ABC astrophotography article, here's the image in question: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...h-alpha%29.jpg

In my experience what ever it is it’s not pulsar related....
Looks like a processing artifact.

If it is really there it is repeatable...
Zoom in and take more shots just in case you are on to something but I think the explanation has been found☺

Thanks.

I absolutely accept it as some artefact as it appears to occur to all stars with the same/similar apparent size.

I was more looking for an explanation, is there a technical term for this observation? What causes beam like structure to appear from bright dots of a particular size?

Looking back, I should have phrased my original post better.
