PGC Hunter BBQ palooza - Screw the clouds, it's time to grill!

When it's cloudy I like to indulge in my other passion - BBQ. Some wings I did last night on the gas-fired grill. Marinated for a day in my special SAB bbq rub. Wanted to do smoke them on low indirect heat, except the GAS RAN OUT halfway through! I checked the wings, all is good, smoker box spewing the hickory smoke like a drug addict in heat, went inside for half n hour to watch Family Guy. Go outside after to turn the wings.... all the burners are dead, everything is stone cold. Smoker box is no longer alive. No, not possible. But yes, it happened. My BBQ RAN OUT OF GAS!

So had to finish the wings off in the oven.

Think I might get a charcoal grill/smoker, the CharGriller Kamado look pretty awesome...

Trying to smoke some wings so.... on goes the smoker box onto the burner and move the wings to indirect cooking. Check after 15 mins, and the smoker box is ON FIRE.... ON FIRE, but the oven thermometer next to the wings is barely touching 225F.....

think I murdered my smoke box as well

With the BBQ OUT OF GAS!!!!!! herp de derp

I had to rely on my trusty indoor grill. Pork ribs marinated overnight in my homemade Jack Daniels BBQ sauce and Plum sauce.

Out of the fridge and onto the stove-top grill

Those ribs look appetizing.

I always use charcoal now in my Webber, mainly because I can't find a suitable Heat Bead alternative over here but to be honest charcoal is the way to go. I should try a bit more smoking out in it too as I mainly use it for bbq's and roasts.

I've always got two gas bottles ... and I check progress every 15 mins or so especially to begin with. Here's a leg of roast lamb done in the BBQ weekend before last.
(The lumps are garlic cloves pushed into the meat along with fresh rosemary in the pan )
