Monty Python

I'm just home from watching the Monty Python movie of their final live performance in London. Thoroughly enjoyed it, but I think the girls/women behind us may have never seen the Python before - they laughed hard!

There were some nice contemporary twists worked into some of the old routines, and a couple of nice cameos from Brian Cox and Stephen Hawking.

If you're Python fan, I recommend it.

Al.

Oh so *that* was what the hubby was watching tonight. I can't get into Monty Python so I let him have the tv all to himself and then he called me in to see that segment with Brian Cox and Stephen Hawkins , so funny. And then the Universe song, but I already knew that one hehe.

Is it on pay TV, Suzy? I thought it was only in cinemas. Not that I have pay TV anyway...

..."Are there any women here?"...

Bummer. It was a big audience (in London... not Bathurst!).

Hi Al, no it wasn't on pay tv.
He "acquired" it, how I don't know.
I hadn't realised it was a new one.
That's if it's the same one (with Brian Cox & Hawkins skit)

As soon as he gets home I'll be bombarding him with questions!

I love how Eric Idle got together with Brian Cox to rewrite the "Galaxy Song", featured on BBC's "Wonders of Life".

But now that I have all the Python fans assembled, may I ask whether anybody has got a good copy of a rare Python sketch titled "The Birds Eye Frozen Pea Relaunch". All I could find is a poor VHS taping with faded colour and lots of defects.

Cheers
Steffen.

I watched the first hour or so the other night, it was uploaded on youtube but it now appears to have been removed.
Fair enough I guess but I was looking forward to finishing it.
