Just waiting for clear skies!
Happy to update my new Zambuto 15 inch mirror has been installed in the Obsession structure. Truss poles cut down and a few other enhancements (SIPs, Glatter Sling, power to the focuser etc) completed and I am itching for my first light. Importantly, it will be first light standing fully flat footed on the ground and seated.
We have seen so little clear sky here in the NE USA year to date that I almost forget why I have a scope. Unluckily, on the few good nights we have had I was traveling or the scope was not ready...I am hoping the clear sky gods are satisfied with my penance and will allow a little clear dark skies arrive in my neighborhood.
