Scripting Telescope Slews and Photography

Hi,
I have got Stellarium 0.20 installed on my Linux Astronomy laptop and that is working well. I've also got GPHoto2 working and I've even started writing a Python GUI app to control the camera.... (Canon 1100D).

One thing I am VERY keen on doing is being able to write a script to do :-
- Slew
- Several photos
- Slew say along RA a little
- Take a few more photos.
...
and keep going.

Then come back in an hour and repeat over same patch of sky.

When finished I can try and look for asteroids using Blink method.

I've been looking around for something that looks like this:-

/command/to/control/telescope SLEW -RA 145.7232 -DEC -16.754

But not found anything. Has anyone managed to do anything like this?

Cheers

Joe
