Well, I don't want to get too excited but the BOM does say that next Saturday will be cold and "sunny" whatever that means.

Since I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of useful nights I've had since about September, I am a bit used to the weather Gods playing silly games (I originally typed something else here but edited myself) with us so I am going to proceed with some hope but the lingering expectation of a hurricane.

Any of the usual suspects willing to chance it?

Peter

It sure has been a poor summer/autumn for imaging Peter. Fingers crossed for winter. I'd love to get out this weekend, but watching the cloud forecasts unfold closely for now.

Sorry, Peter. I'll be in the USA. Maybe that will help appease the weather gods for you

Well guys, I don't know whether we can blame Rick or not. But here is the CFN meteogram showing plenty of cloud tomorrow night. No too much Saturday though. Fingers crossed.

I'll be up your way on Sun/Mon nights with my boys camping at Lake Somerset. Those nights look pretty clear I think? I won't have my scopes with me, but will take DSLR and tripod for some nightscapes. If I wasn't camping, I may have considered coming along.

G'day Troy.
If you're looking for some subjects for some images, you could try the interior of the old Caboonbah Undenominational Church on German Reserve Road. Interesting local history and timbers. Have fun!
