Star colours in narrowband images

This may be a totally noob question but when taking Ha, S2, O3 how does everyone preserve the star colours? I've had some totally erratic results ranging from all pink to all green stars. LOL!

Thanks Alex!

This will help a lot. My stars are more or less round and not blown out but green or purple looks weird 😅
