Thinking of using a quality ND filter? Maybe a home made Herschel wedge?
I have two, as new in boxes
Baader,1 1/4",1.8 ND #2458345
Baader,1 1/4",3.0 ND #2458346 ****sale Pending****

Purchased for a project which didn't go ahead....

Asking $50 each plus post.....

The ND 1.8 is a great option to add to a Herschel wedge (especially when used with a Continuum filter) for solar white light imaging.
Allows shorter exposures, faster frame rates - cutting through the seeing....
NOT recommended for visual solar observing.
