How good is a one shot colour CCD camera?

Hi everyone,
I am considering purchasing a SBIG STF-8300C colour CCD camera. I already have a SBIG ST2000XM with filters, filter wheels etc. However, I am now considering upgrading while at the same time cutting down on additional expenses and doing everything (eg new size filters etc) all over again.
I am also on the understanding that the above STF-8300C will self guide once it's set up correctly.
I am intending to use this new camera with a C11 set at f6.3 and also with various Nikon lenses from 24mm-300mm.
On the understanding that the brand name SBIG is not synonymous with Mickey Mouse could anyone give me their informed opinion on how good modern day one shot colour really is?

After having used both a mono will give you better resolution than the equivalent OSC. The OSC is much more convenient to capture color. Narrowband is best done with the mono. The OSC might be a problem with lenses as you could get color fringing and usually the blues don't come in focus the same as the reds or greens. No such problem with a mono as you can focus each channel independently. Same goes for a refractor. APO will work better with the OSC than an ED for example for the above reasons. When I do color I always use my OSC. When I do NB I always use my mono. They complement each other IMHO.

Yes, I wasn't going to get rid of the ST2000XM for those NB issues.
