capturing Uranus on Neximage

Hi,

I've located Uranus on my Celestron 6SE but I can't seem to get an image of the planet using my NexImage camera. Is it because Uranus is mag 5.7?

It could be. That is pretty faint for a little webcam on a little scope!

I assume your neximage is working fine for capturing bright planets like Jupiter? Have a practice on that first if you haven't already.

It could also be focus. Make sure you have the target centred in the eyepiece, and know roughly how much the focus needs to change for the camera. Again, practice on Jupiter is good.

At the very least you'll need the longest exposure and therefore the slowest frame rate you can set.

Keep trying.
