This is a Hubble palette [SII, H alpha, OIII] image of one of the most beautiful and photographed nebulas in the night sky. We’ve all seen a hundred or more versions of this image; however, it is still a pleasure imaging it for oneself. I am sorry if this image does not break new ground.

Technical Details:
Televue NP127is Refractor at f/5.2, Astrodon 3-nm SII, Ha, and OII filters, QSI 683wsg camera. Mount: EQ8. Imaged from suburban Sydney.
SII: 42 x 14 minutes = 10 hours, H alpha: 54 x 14 minutes = 13 hours, OIII: 21 x 14 minutes = 5 hours.
Software: Nebulosity 4, PHD 2, PixInsight, Lightroom and Photoshop.
