Thanks Martin for all your help.

I managed to get some colour and uploaded against my first image.

Not overly happy with it as I am getting blueish stars, but fun to try.

Paul,
That’s great , it does take some fiddling to get the colour balances right
With your Starcolour , I always leave my Star Mask set straight after my final AutoDev stretch and before the main modules , then when I hit the Colour module , the Star Mask is there ready so I can colour the main object , then invert then colour the star field last , you have total control of your Star field colour that way , otherwise your stars end up all one colour. I think I sent you the Star mask procedure previously
Good Luck and keep working on it , you will eventually work it all out and get the best out of Startools, it does take time
Cheers

Paul,
I just realised you can use the presets in the Colour module ( Constancy, Legacy, SHO , SIII , Duoband etc.. ) if you are just using Compose under LRGB ( L+ Synthetic L from RGB , RGB ) as per the last section of my document. I doubled the Green exposure time to 2hrs and everything else default at 1 hr
I just tried it some old data again M8 Lagoon captured in September using the ZWO Duoband filter and it worked really well with the preset Duoband and the LRGB Emulation RGB Ratio CIELab. Colours were really dynamic, so many variables

Where the presets don’t work very well is where you create a Synthetic Composite using 2 colours in the first part of my document

I’m still getting my head around the Compose module So much to learn and experiment with
Just need some clear nights in Sydney hey !!

Cheers
Martin
