Ringed Galaxy NGC7020

From Ronald, Buta, (November 1990). "The ringed X-galaxy NGC 7020":
The southern galaxy NGC 7020 presents an unusual morphology: it includes a very regular outer ring which is completely detached and which envelops an inner ring/lens zone with a hexagon surrounding an X shape.
The outer ring has a high contrast compared to those usually observed in barred galaxies, yet NGC 7020 is not obviously barred.

An interesting galaxy with the separated ring. Nice shot from a Bortle 7 location.

Your image is hugely better than the one in the professional paper you quoted.

Thanks everyone.

Good spotting on the typo, I'm not ready to name a new type of galaxy yet!

Very unusual galaxy Adam and nicely captured. What surprises me is the lack of images of this object. After all, it is not particularly small and the structure is interesting.
