Loose Coupler Type Crystal Radio.... 0.1MHz to 30MHz HF Band.
This is the bloke I have been talking with for the past 11 months... ( Geoff ) in the UK
It works by ' sliding the coils ' in or out from each other to change the inductance value ... hence various radio stations can be picked up to listen to using ' headphones '
It simply works by Radio Waves inducing a ' current ' into the Aerial Wire which then ' feeds ' the Coil / Coils and a Variable Capacitor and Diode etc .... no batteries or Electricity is required to make the Receiver work.
It simply works by the Radio Waves creating a current ( inducing ) in the Aerial Wire.....mind you, it's value is in the order of Micro Amps.
I bought parts from him and followed his advise on Aerial Types / Receivers...etc.
He's a absolute craftsman when making Receivers ... see his work at this link

The one you ask regarding price is about 250.00 British Pounds.
You can buy all parts from him, including the ' engraved dials ', Coils, Brass Components, Aerial / Earth / Head Phone Terminals ... etc
I can listen to all the Radio Stations on this set in my area ( HF only ...no FM ) .... just want to improve sensitivity with a better Aerial
Pic's show the Crystal Receivers I currently own....
