Rockets and Diggers

Well I am a little pleased with myself as yesterday I was able to pick from the Toys World Shop my Saturn V Rocket Lego build.
It looks very impressive indeed.

They had put one away for me and rang when ready however they did have 10 more on the shelf, but when i went back to buy what i will show you now they only had four left, all on the same day. Impressive Model i expect.

Any way I went over board and bought this thing with 4969 pieces

What a challenge. it will probably take me weeks to complete, maybe i had better hire one of the grand kids.

This is the worst part of only having grown up kids, but as yet no grand-kids - I can't think of a valid reason to explain to SWMBO why I had to buy one!

(I work in the mining sector - perhaps I can get together with a few guys at work, and we can write it off as a business expense?)

Roger it stands one meter tall and is 150mm in diameter, it has 1969 blocks, a bit ironic as this was the year it was launched, it is a beauty and i will start it tonight.
Now about that other thing i might need the help of some grand leggo kids.

Hi Guys
Well I have to say that Lego Saturn V Rocket that i bought and am assembling, certainly passes the time in the evening and is so precise, cleverly designed, and with incredible accurate detail.
Very enjoyable indeed, I have only got to stage one

What is the hurry, I haven't done Lego stuff since my kids were little and that is some time ago i can tell you.

No Roger it is in the process of assembly, i will post a progress pic shortly.
It may look pretty plain from the outside but the inside bits are just amazing,

I'm impressed that you started with the first stage - I would definitely have jumped straight to the CSM and LEM!

Hey Leon.

Looks awesome.

I see it's hollow. Does it include the internal fuel tanks and stage dividers as well as the externals?

No Les it certainly is not hollow, and includes everything to the last detail of all the inside workings as well, as the fuel tanks etc.
Nealy 2000 pieces in all.
