Spacers for meade and antares reducer

Thought I would finally dabble with astrophtography. I have a 8se and Meade 3.3 and antares 6.3 reducer and a meade dsi II colour, yes it is old but have had it for a long time collecting dust.. I can achieve focus with the 6.3 but for the meade I cannot.

Did research on te web and one guy said spacing is critical to get the widest view. Does anyone know what is the optimal spacing with what I have as the meade 3.3 came with its standard spacers.
Regards
