The Colour Purple

I've finally Domed my solar scopes in their own dedicated observatory, and it is such a lovely space to image from - cooler, shady and for once some nice seeing late yesterday afternoon to produce my sharpest CaK image yet.

Its a shame that sunspot pair was so short lived, but hey, at least there was a short flurry of excitement!

Just hoping the sun provides a little more action to give us something to do with our lunch times at home!

Thanks - got a horrible feeling those clouds are ignoring the closed borders and heading our way!

Jonathan,
Well done. well focused well defined capture!

Hopefully with the new AR coming you'll have more opportunity to use your "domed" set-up in the near future.
