Skywatcher ED80

Skywatcher ED80

When you get bored you Pimp Telescopes, this is a Skywatcher ED80 that has had the tube and dew shield replaced with 6mm thick aluminium tube that has been polished and clear coated.

The dew shield is longer than the standard shield.
The tube is baffled exactly the same as the standard tubes are.
The finder scope has been upgraded with a 90 degree finder scope.

Comes with a York Optical 99% Dielectric Diagonal, the diagonal has a few marks on the barrel from the tightening screws.
The lens is in excellent unmarked condition.

OTA Only Mount not included.


$750 plus postage.

Hi,


Does the aluminum tubing offer any practical advantage,or is it just bling?

The tube is thicker 6mm the original tubes were 2mm, so its stronger but mostly bling. The dew shield is longer so its better at keeping dew off.
