Optical tube is in great clean condition. The accompanying right angle correct image (RACI) finder scope is also in great condition. The smooth two-speed crayford focuser holds both 2" and 1.25" eyepieces. Includes dust caps for both the 'scope and finder. Please note that the power cable is not supplied for the electric fan at the base of the tube assembly.
The primary mirror does have some marks on it, mostly around the perimeter. I'm not game enough to clean it, if indeed it can be cleaned. Despite this, it is still a good performer. It's currently well collimated and ready to use.
The solid custom base was constructed by the previous owner. The accessory tray has capacity to hold three 2" eyepieces and one 1.25" eyepiece. The mount originally did have some flaws, but these have been rectified by adding laminate and teflon pads to the base, some shims in the main side slots (which could still be improved), and a soft bump pad at zenith.
Included are 3 eyepieces:
Bintel 26mm (46x magnification)
2" Wide View in good condition. Top cap only.
GSO 15mm Plossl (80x magnification)
1.25" with both caps, as new in box.
GSO 9mm Plossl (133x magnification)
1.25", also with both caps, as new in box.
Inspection and pick-up only in Parkdale (bayside Melbourne).
I'd like the prospective buyer to be happy with the mount movement and mirror condition prior to purchasing.
